Today I'm thinking about poetry and three of my favorite poems, all three which I've just read for the umpteenth time. In addition to being favorites of mine I believe they are also well-written and very powerful poems. The three are Billy Collins' "Japan," at http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/japan/, Dorianne Laux's "Family Stories" http://www.alsopreview.com/thecollections/laux/dlfamily.html, and Heather McHugh's "What He Thought" at http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/15450. I hope you like them too.
